Thunder Bolt designs carvings are handcrafted from Ironwood. Next to the leadwood of Florida, Ironwood is the heavest wood native to the United States and Mexico. 

This handcaft was initiated by the Seri indians in 1961. The Seri Indians have trained talented artisans in the United States. The sculptues are carved completely by hand, using axes, handsaws, cutlasses, heavy knives, rasps, files, chisels, and sandpaper. Each piece is hand rubbed until smooth and polished.
